SO CUTE! We got ready at my mom's hair salon, where my mom and another stylist did all of our hair. We did our own make-up.

(2)

(3)

(4) Billy downloaded all of the music for the ceremony and the reception. This is one of the last frantic moments before people started arriving. Our friend Charlie took over after this point, and it was gorgeous. People commented on how the ceremony music completed the magical evening!

(5)

(6) Kenneth Cole. Billy bought them half-price because they were display shoes!

(7) My amazing mom and my bridesmaids. They were all so wonderful the week before, helping out with programs, namecards, and other diy projects. The bridesmaids all flew in from places around the U.S., and made such a huge effort to make my week and day so special.

(8)

(9)

(10)My dad and I!

(11)

(12) Billy ordered his suit through mysuitshop.com and had it custom made. The quality was excellent, and the price even better! The groomsmen's suits were h&m (inexpensive and easy for the boys to figure out).

(13) Our photographers sweet idea! Since my engagemnt ring was my wedding band as well, I handed it to Billy before the ceremony. We did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so this was a very cute idea! It was so cool to be that close to him, yet not to see him, and to have that excitement of what was to take place shortly.

CEREMONY

(14) The site! The location was the Hassayampa in Prescott, Arizona (our home town). We had the ceremony on the putting greens and the reception in the courtyard. The view overlooking Prescott was fantastic. Rolling green hills, the distant purple mountains, pine trees, and sunset-cast shadows. It had been raining all that week, so we were praying it wouldn't rain the day of. Instead of it being a problem, it turned out to be a perfect gift because the skies were clear, bright blue; the clouds were fluffy; and the breeze kept everyone cooled off ( helped to make my veil flow in the wind..).

(15) Hiding behind my dad so the guests couldn't see me from the greens.

(16)

(17)

(18)

(19) I decided we should sing a hymn before we got married, with the wedding party and the guests. Billy chose the hymn, "All Creatures of Our God and King." We sang it acapela, and I printed the chosen coruses in the back of the program. This is a photo of (at least) us and the pastor singing.

(20)

(21)

(22)

(23) We had the rings passed through the bridal party's hands. The groomsmen passed my ring down, and the bridesmaids passed Billy's down. I wanted them to feel closely involved in the ceremony.

(24) A special moment, the "talit", prayer shawl, wrapped around our hands signifying the special union between husband and wife. It means that our intimacy is to be strictly gaurded, nothing comes in to interfere, and nothing goes out which is private between us. "Our tabernacle"- our safe place.

(25) Communion

(26)

(27)

(28) There are many things I like about this photo. The venue's setting is surrounded by the beautiful aspects of Prescott, such as Thumb Butte in the background.
I also love the back of my wedding dress. My mother and I found the dress at a local boutique called "Ciao Bella" (which has unfortunately closed within the last year). I had tried on about fifty dresses up to finally discovering this shop. After trying it on, the fabric won me over, and of course the way how I felt in it; like a true bride! It is a Mikaella gown.

POST CEREMONY

(29) Group shot! I wanted to take a photo of all of our guests, so I had the photographers take a shot "summer camp" style. They stood on the balcony of the bridal preparation room, and we all gathered beneath right after the ceremony. This was so fun, and we are so happy to have this photo, because even if we didn't get a candid shot of certain guests in other photos, we still have this large photo to refer to!

(30)

(31)

BRIDE AND GROOM

(32)

(33)

(34)

RECEPTION

(35)

(36)

(37)

(38)

(39) Our first dance, "I Won't Share You" by the Smiths. So cute!

(40)

(41) It has been custom so far for when one of our friends get married, all of us will pray over the couple before they leave the reception. So, we also were prayed over before we headed off after our beautiful wedding. It was so wonderful to have all of friends and family pray for us, it really was a special ending to the evening.

DETAILS

(42) The Cake!! Mmmm buttercream frosting. Beautiful isn't it? We had Molly order extra peonies for the top of the cake.

(43) Centerpieces! First of all, I scored at Pier One with these gorgeous vases. $2 per vase on a clearance sale! We scoured Pier Ones all over the Phoenix area as well to obtain the 18 we needed. On to the flowers.. The Hydrangea was the base to every centerpiece. The yellow buttons (button-mums) and green hypericum were a must since the beginning of planning. Aren't they cute?

(44) Another unique touch, which you can barely see in this photo, we added a snip of rosemary to every napkin. It is a German tradition to wear rosemary at weddings to bring blessings upon the new married couple. (My family is German, and we thought it would be a nice tradition to carry over into our wedding.) My parents and bridesmaids cut it fresh from our yard, and tied yellow ribbon to each sprig.

(45) The Rings! Both rings turned out beautiful. I had Billy's specially made by Anne Kiel through Etsy.

(46) Our home!

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
examples of our ingenious photographers..

(47)

(48)

(49)

(50)

GO TO BWright Photography's Flickr to access more images. I purchased this gorgeous gown through a local Prescott boutique, "Ciao Bella." They had a beautiful store downtown, and their service was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. They connected us to a great local tailor, Jeannette's Alterations. She is located in down town Prescott's, "Bella Donna." She did everything, from my ten-layered satin gown, to the suits.

(2) My Suit Shop was an excellent vendor. My husband's suit was so affordable, arrived in about three weeks, and great quality.

(3) Mori Lee Bridesmaids Dresses. All of the girls felt great in this dress! I was so happy and relieved. We ordered them through Phoenix-based "I do I do Bridal".

(4) Professional Photography from Brandon and Brian Wright. Thank you both SO much!
To view the entire Photo album please visit Bwright Photography, and click on "Rose Wedding".
They did an amazing job and we love how they captured our joy. They are based out of LA, California. We met them in college a couple years ago, and their work speaks for itself. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who desires FUN, artistic, and genuine prints. Being that there is two of them, with the same goal, they are able to capture many moments and they work off of eachother's creativity.
Blog
Prof. Website
Flickr Sets

(5-6)Floral Arrangements by Flowers By Request and Cake by Jenna. Both vendors are located in Prescott. Molly was very creative and helpful at By Request. I brought in my ideas, and she worked with our budget. Jenna is an amazing baker and an amazing artist. Check out her portfolio. Not only does her work show for itself, it also tastes amazing! We opted for our frosting to be buttercream instead of the common fondant. We wanted our guests to truly enjoy as much as they could- and they did. We got great reviews. The flavors we chose were creme brulee, chocolate, and lemon (and by the way, her fillings are made up of the real-deal, natural flavorings and fruit when called for!).

(7)Billy's Wedding Ring was handmade by Anne Kiel. I found her through her Etsy website.

(8) The Venue! We held the ceremony and reception at the same place. We wanted it to be convenient for our guests, but the Hassayampa wasn't chosen merely for the convenience. The price was right for our budget, in that the price included the food, tax, and wait-staff; the location showcased the beauty of Arizona's forests and mountain ranges; and the events department is highly efficient and kind. We loved it, and recommend it to anyone. The food was amazing and we served a sit-down formal meal.
